In a bar on the outskirts of Sor-Rii, a bard sings an epic ballad of the adventures and deeds of Tharivol Liaden and his team. Travellers on their way to Dragons Den whisper curiosities about the powerful druid Lisonamit that even the worgs obey. An elder speaks of the shining odd armor of the paladin Gdarin, enemy of the lawless, and how he will one day bring peace to his village. Fearful whispers of the power of one named Kij, killer of free will, are passed on in dark corners. The ever present allies and far reach of Illiri, mistress of magic, are intoned in classes of the arcane. The frightening manifestations of Roywyn and Kristoliana find disbelief among the farmers of Tanucyras. The fame of the champions has never been more prominent. The city of Dragons Den has decided to throw a celebration to thank the champions for their service. At the same time, the mayor will announce the new Guild of Champions. For 3 days the city will rejoice and relax. There will be gambling, races, events, and a scavenger hunt. With the increased chance of mischief, the sheriff has announced increased security will be present in the city during the celebration. But fame can cut both ways. How many enemies have you made? How many of them might attend? This will be an opportunity to explore Dragons Den. You can purchase items, place special orders, join a guild, challenge someone to a game of chance, show off for the crowd, make alliances, secure a house or shop, or just go on a picnic. Maybe you want to research what has been happening to the mysts? Or maybe clear up a misunderstanding? You will of course be expected to attend opening and closing ceremonies as well as some special events. You will also be asked to judge the Scavenger Hunt and the Grand Race. Coordinator's Note: The Danger Rating for this event will vary according to your reputations. Your reputations will be measured by your team's level. Novice level teams will face a Danger Rating of 2. Master Level teams will face a Danger Rating of 4. And Epic Level teams will face a Danger Rating of 5. Also note that this may be the ONLY Epic Level game in which Novice Level teams may participate. This is due to the changes for Season 5. |

The Festival started off with a bang as fireworks were launched at the openning ceremonies. The mayor welcomed the champions and announced the creation of the new Guild of Champions. The champions also used this unique opportunity to gather and discuss some business with each other and the city. New resurrection accounts were set up, houses were bought or rented, stores were rented, and information was exchanged. The events for the festival were varied by extremes. A low tech version of paintball proved annoying as someone switched the harmless ammunition for the other m ore poisonous fare. The gambling at Tagar's proved quite entertaining and many of the champions partook of both the betting and the drinking versions. The horse race was quite a spectacle as the participants discovered that this years race included hauling 1,000 pounds of rubble down the course. It was the banquet that ended the affair though. After the speeches were made and dessert served, the drugs in the food and wine combined and put most of the city to sleep at their tables. Then the swarms attacked. Like a rumble of thunder they covered the buildings and beset the people. The champions fought off one swarm with the help of the Wizards Guild (warned by Aluahna). The druids and other guilds took down the other two swarms. After the slaughter, over 200 were dead and more than a thousand were injured or missing. As the champions surveyed the devastation, a voice echoed out of the mysts "This was your only warning! Mind your own affairs!".
