Dragons Den is off to a rough start. Not even completed,
Tagar's Inn was damaged a second time while battling the bandits. One brave
champion came through in the end to save the day.
- Sermonis Auceps
Player: James E. Farbo
One team answered the call for this challenge. After a long journey, Kartor
Tia'nin (Half-Elf Rogue 15) answered the call for champions to route out the
bandits hold up within Tagar's. After waiting a time, it became evident
that none of the other champions would arrive. Be it their courage, time, or
lives that presented challenge to their day, Kartor was on his own.
Barely dodging an acid trap set on the front door, Kartor entered by the
front door and engaged the enemy. Holding his own for a time, the combination
of archers and spell casting was too much for him. He withdrew to the
back entrance and attempted entry there. He quickly met a new challenge
as summoned trolls presented a difficult task. Beaten down and cornered,
the day appeared lost when a stranger showed up and offered a distraction.
Renewed with strength and energy, Kartor struck again. His combination
of attacks presented the spell caster with many hurdles as few of his
spells could be completed. Kartor slowly neutralized all but one of his
opponents. In a rooftop display of agility that the bards will soon sing
about, Kartor proved himself formidable. But you cannot fight what you
cannot see. While Kartor took down an opponent, the last bandit skirted
the roof and escaped into the shadows.
In the end he was successful in routing the enemy, but one did escape. What
problems could that possibly present? And how long until we know?
Sermonis Auceps survives to adventure again.
