The Situation

Travelers and cargo had been disappearing in the area around Haven, a distant village surrounded by aggressive vegetation that would just as soon kill you as bath in the sun. Locals reported attacks on their groups by someone, but none of the descriptions matched. The attacker was short, tall, thin, fat, huge, and average height. Bounty hunters swarmed the area for the reward offered by the King.

The Result

  1. Team Fred
    Player: Allain Ackerman
Valken (Psychic Warrior 15) made his debut during this hunt. His powers played a key roll in the final battle. Ever tried to keep your spell casting concentration when telekinetically suspended 20' above the ground? Take it from our perpetrating druid, it ain't easy. But, take it from Valken, getting caught in the vine forest by yourself . . . not a good idea. Team Fred survives to adventure again.

  2. Steel Order
    Player: Wayne Edie
Gdarin (Paladin 16) was back in his confident role as defender of the realm. His investigation took him all over town. After preliminary interviews and a good night's sleep, he hires a druid guide to investigate the crime scenes. He is joined by the other bounty hunters. Their diligence pays off as they finally track down the killer. Well, ok. It may have been a trap, but the good guys were the ones to walk away. Steel Order survives to adventure again.

  3. Death From Afar
    Player: Jon Sternfeld
In his second appearance, Tharivol (Fighter 6, Wizard 1, Arcane Archer 8) proved once again that you shouldn't force him to make his point. After conducting his own investigation, he later joined up with Valken and Gdarin in their search. A barrage of arrows turned several attackers into pin cushions. The enemy almost gave everyone a terminal hot foot as sheets of flame poured down on the bounty hunters, but it was too little, too late. The group collected the bounty and negotiating resulted in a ring key for Tharivol. Death From Afar survives to adventure again.
