- Steel Order
Player: Wayne Edie
Gdarin (15th level Paladin) found the people less than cooperative.
Not surprising since the thieves had the entire town afraid for their
lives. After a battle with some unfriendly dwarves, he reached the point
of disgust where he called for the surrender of the entire population.
An admirable task, but their fear was too great. Only team Twig
identified herself and the two of them set about the destruction of
the buildings. Or rather the warhorse and dire bear did after receiving
a slight boost in size from team Twig. If these people would not stand
by their King, they would pay the price. After this proclamation, Gdarin
and Lisonamit joined the others below ground in their pursuit. Gdarin
and Tharivol found a ring key in a pile of treasure. After some negotiating,
Tharivol accepted some treasure in exchange for his equal claim on the
ring. Gdarin placed the ring on his finger only to find it spelled and
destructive to his other ring. He returned the unneeded ring keys to
the King and kept his on functional ring key.
Steel Order survives to adventure again.
- Eyes In The Dark
Player: Tom Leonard
Lynx Eye (15th Level Rogue) was better prepared this time. Better tools and
supplies allowed him to benefit the chase and help track down the enemy.
Unfortunately for him, some traps are better than others. A sudden death in
a pit trap made for an awkward moment, but team Twig brought him back. Well,
ok. She brought him back as a boar, but it was the thought that counts.
Eyes In The Dark survives to
adventure again. We're just not sure he wants to chance winding up on the
royal banquet table.
- Twig
Player: Vanessa Wilcox-Swarez
Lisonamit (15th Level Druid) arrived on scene and surveyed the situation
with the assistance of her animal allies. After joining up with Steel
Order, he spotted two of the trackers entering a building at the end
of town. Lisonamit and Gdarin proceeded there and eventually caught
up with the other teams. He found the person they were looking for in
a closed room; deceased via fatal stab wound to the abdomen. After the
teams tracked down the barbarian that had stolen the ring, and Tharivol
had dispatched him, Lisonamit searched the body and secretly pocketed
the ring key he found. He later returned it to the King who then bestowed
it upon him in proper fashion. Twig
survives to adventure again.
- Death From Afar
Player: Jon Sternfeld
Tharivol Liadon (Fighter 6, Wizard 1, Arcane Archer 8) joined the search this
adventure with a fervor of intent. He was the first to find the underground
hideout after following one of the Endrin's enforcers. That enforcer later
found that allowing the enemy to follow you can be fatal under Endrin's rule.
The teams made their way through the passages of the hideout. When Endrin
attacked, Tharivol delivered the fatal blows with a barrage of arrows at
close range. He searched the treasure pile with Gdarin and found a ring key.
In the end, it was the other concern that drove Tharivol and he acquiesced on
the ring in favor of a greater share of the treasure.
Death From Afar survives to adventure again.
