The Situation

The King's wizard had declared that he needed a special scroll secured in the Tower of the Mages. Without it, he couldn't help defend the realm. Two teams answered the call for help. They traversed an underground stream and made their way through a maze of tunnels until they reached the "Tower". Once there, they found mobile statues, traps, and secret vaults. All of this wrapped up in a Tower that couldn't decide what dimension it belonged in. The day was taken by team Steel Order and the scroll was turned over to the Wizard. Let's hope the rumors of the wizard's treachery have been overstated . . . for all our sakes.

The Result

  1. Steel Order
    Player: Wayne Edie
Gdarin Armorer (15th Level Paladin) answered the Wizard's challenge to retrieve the scroll from the Tower. By command of his presence, he once again entered the maze unchallenged and proved to be a force to respect. After finding the gold pass ring, he successfully entered the secret vault and retrieved the scroll. Twice, he took the time to rescue his opponent from certain death, earning him the favor of his deity. He turned the scroll and 6 silver guardian rings over to the Wizard and was rewarded with another ring key. He was allowed to request one spell and a Mass Haste was bestowed upon the second ring. Steel Order survives to adventure again.

  2. Eyes In The Dark
    Player: Tom Leonard
Lynx Eye (15th Level Rogue) met an early challenge as he was swept away by the rapid flow of the cavern river. Righting himself and grabbing the shore, he raced back into action. He found the doors of the Tower to be uninviting to those not expected, a situation which he rarely finds a problem. However, an early misfortune led to broken tools and a string of bad luck as the Tower defenses keyed in on him ... and through him. Twice was he rescued from certain doom by team Steel Order. Though he did not succeed at the task, he did get out in one piece. Where that piece is, he's not even sure. His exit left him in the middle of an epic battle between the elves and a dragon. He should get out of there . . . eventually. Eyes In The Dark survives to adventure again.
